Parents have the day off as grandparents are invited to bring their grandchildren to a unique experience at the museum. “Leaf” your mark on our upcoming exhibit “Reflections of Ourselves”, with a private group tour, followed by cross-stitch workshop for all levels. Work together to stitch your own “Reflections of Ourselves” leaf inspired by various cultural motifs; and, add it to the exhibit or take it home.

The KHCC is back on the road to host their Digital Genealogy Workshop! Learn the tips and tricks of digital research as your KHCC museum guide teaches you how to track your family history online and through a variety of archival databases, step-by-step.

Looking to expand upon your go-to knitting patterns and stitches? Dive into a new heritage style and learn unique Estonian stitches during this workshop to craft your own folk mittens, led by an Estonian artist.
Also catch a one-day Estonian-Toronto led art exhibit in partnership with the (EAC) Estonian Arts Centre; and, our current exhibit “Reflections of Ourselves” to learn more about this unique culture and others that inspire fibre crafts around the world.
Materials will be provided including knitting needles (5 No. 2 Needles) and yarn (Fingering Weight Yarn, 2 colours). However, you can bring your own if you prefer!
