King Heritage & Cultural Centre presents
An art exhibition in celebration of PRIDE - May 17 to July 12, 2025
Theme for 2025: TODAY WE SLAY
The term SLAY is defined as “looking self-confidently good, acting in a self-empowered way, or doing something spectacular, especially in the face of some challenge”, the term slay was adopted by the LGBTQ+ community in the 1980s and has gained momentum ever since.
As a theme for this exhibition, artists are encouraged to celebrate their PRIDE through art - be BOLD, be PLAYFUL, be SELF-CONFIDENT, be SELF-EMPOWERED, be SPECTACULAR - and show how you SLAY!
